After a two-week tour of the Hawaiian Islands to kick off the 2023 calendar year, the PGA Tour heads to PGA West and La Quinta, California this week for the 2023 American Express.
Held at Pete Dye Stadium Course, the Nicklaus Tournament Course, and La Quinta Country Club, the AmEx has once again produced a strong field with a handful of standout pairings worth following, including Tony Finau and Scottie Scheffler, as well as Jon Rahm. and Rickie Fowler.
Davis Thompson continues to get the rock rolling. After carding two eagles on Thursday, Thompson chipped in three more on Friday and is 18-under in two rounds. He leads Jon Rahm by two shots.
