Entergy Announces Application Process for Billing Assistance

Entergy customers can apply for billing assistance next week.

The company has partnered with the United Way of Greater Houston in partnership with other nearby United Way locations to offer customers a $150 credit on a first come, first served basis.

An online application for a $150 loan will open at 9:00 a.m. September 27 on the United Way of Greater Houston website.

Customers can apply via computer or mobile phone. However, according to a press release from Entergy, a mobile phone is required to obtain an access code to verify account setup.

“Temperatures are rising, the cost of natural gas is rising, so Entergy Texas is stepping up its bill-paying assistance efforts to ensure customers continue to have access to affordable energy,” said Entergy Texas President and CEO Elieser “Ely” Viamontes in a press release. . “By listening to our customers and staying in touch with our communities, we can provide meaningful solutions to Texas families in need of extra help.”

While the $150 loan is for low- and middle-income customers, all Entergy Texas customers can apply, according to the post.

“To qualify, clients must have a total household income of up to 250% of the federal poverty level, which equates to $69,000 for a family of four,” the post reads.
