Fingerprint Cards AB (Fingerprints™) today announced that the FPC1553, the company’s third generation thin side capacitive touch sensor, is integrated into the Honor X40i, Moto g32 and Vivo Y77 smartphones. This fingerprint sensor is even smaller than its predecessors for easier integration.

The FPC1553 is based on our very successful FPC1542 and FPC1552 sensors. These innovative, thin, side-mounted sensors enable a range of the latest smartphone designs, including bezel-less and foldable phones, enhancing the user experience by offering a convenient and secure authentication method, dual power button, volume control, camera shutter control. and scroll.

“The FPC1553 is the latest result of our ongoing innovation in this new segment of capacitive fingerprint sensors for smartphones that we created a couple of years ago. Our innovative technologies are at the heart of the latest developments, as evidenced by the first smartphones launched with the FPC1553 processor. We will continue to focus on strengthening our leadership position by ensuring we have a comprehensive, competitive product portfolio for all relevant segments,” said Ted Hansson, President of Mobile, PC & Access China at Fingerprints.

Fingerprint sensors are now integrated into over 640 different mobile device models.
