Senior goalie Lindsey Romig has been named the SEC Defensive Player of the Week.
Romig recorded a career-high nine saves on Friday in the Lady Vols’ 2-1 win at Florida.
He recorded five saves in the final 25 minutes of the match. Romig made six saves from inside the 18-yard box.
Tennessee has recorded four shutouts in its last five games.
The conference award is Romig’s third during his career. He earned the honor twice during the 2020-21 season.
The Lady Vols return to action Thursday, hosting No. 11 Alabama at Regal Soccer Stadium.
Kickoff is scheduled for 6 pm EDT and the game will air on SEC Network+.
