His final resting place will be at Graceland with his son Benjamin, according to Riley’s rep.

Lisa Marie will join her son in Meditation Garden, which is also the final resting place of Elvis, Elvis’s mother Gladys Presley, Elvis’s father Vernon Presley, and Elvis’s grandmother Minnie Mae Presley.

As Deadline notes, Lisa Marie once wrote about her future resting place in her song “Light’s Out” from her 2003 debut album. To whom It May Concern. “Someone turned out the lights in Memphis,” she sang. “Ooh, that’s where my family is buried and it’s gone (gone) / Oh yeah / Last time I was there I noticed there was a space left / Oh, next to them there in Memphis, yeah / In the fucking backyard “.

Nearly a week before his death, Lisa Marie spent time at Graceland celebrating what would have been Elvis’ 88th birthday, according to grief counselor David Kessler. Kessler, a grief and loss expert and founder of duel.com, and Lisa Marie became close after their son’s death.

In an Instagram post, Kessler said she spent time with Lisa Marie at her father and son’s grave, which would ultimately also be their resting place.

“Graceland was her happy place and every employee who knew her shared that she looked much better. She seemed more at peace and was very proud of the Elvis film,” he said. “On Saturday night we sat at the graves of his father and son. We talked about the heartbreak she grew up with and the more recent devastation of the death of her son. She showed me where she would be buried one day. I told her in a long time… and she said yes, I have a lot to do.”

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages anyone who wishes to send something to donate to The Elvis Presley Charitable Foundation, a nonprofit organization that offers support to organizations that focus on arts, education, and children’s programs in the Memphis and Whitehaven area.
