Madden 23 content creators go on strike over MUT decks due to low deck odds, Field Pass issues

This year has been a rough start for Madden 23. Past Madden games have been known to have their fair share of bugs and glitches around release, but EA tends to fix them quickly. We reported on the Competitive Field Pass issues earlier this month, and now things seem to be reaching a boiling point among some in the Madden NFL community. A number of creators – both big and small in the Madden community – are coming together to freeze spending under the hashtag “#packstrike”.

A number of prominent Madden and MUT content creators, including Zirksee, Mills and Gutfoxx, are calling for change from EA on a number of issues.

The requirements are primarily focused on ensuring that everything players spend makes sense. Zirksee, in particular, recommends improving rerolls so that players can spend training points and make sure that people who spend on the biggest decks actually get all the pieces they need. And, these individuals are also pushing for an overhaul of the BND system so that those items can go into sets rather than being stuck in the binder.

As mentioned earlier, this isn’t the first issue that has cropped up for Madden 23 since the title launched last month. A few weeks back, EA had a number of issues with how cumulative stats weren’t being tracked for the competitive terrain pass. This resulted in a temporary gate of the MUT, but the problem was resolved after a few hours.

However, these issues haven’t stopped Madden NFL 23 from selling. NPD Group this week released sales information for video game industry in Augustand Madden 23 was the top title of the month.
