Malwarebytes has announced the upcoming Malwarebytes Mobile Security for Business program, which extends endpoint protection to professional mobile devices.
From corporate organizations to educational institutions, the growing number of connected mobile devices creates security risks for users and networks. With 25% of mobile applications containing at least one high-severity vulnerability, IT administrators are facing rapidly growing security threats as the use of mobile devices in academic and business environments grows.
Traditionally, organizations have focused endpoint protection on servers, desktops, and laptops, often leaving mobile devices that typically run behind a firewall unprotected.
An industry audit by Malwarebytes in January 2023 found that 62% of school IT professionals expect employee devices to be their most dangerous attack surface in 2023, with only one-third saying they are very confident in their ability to protect these devices.
Malwarebytes Mobile Security for Business extends company endpoint protection to mobile devices. Designed specifically for resource-constrained organizations, IT teams can conveniently manage security across Chrome OS, Android, and iOS devices from the same cloud-based console while monitoring their servers, workstations, and laptops.
With Malwarebytes Mobile Security for Business, organizations can scan, investigate, and remediate mobile threats, prevent accidental access to malicious websites, block ads, and protect user privacy.
“IT teams are grappling with the challenge of monitoring and protecting the growing number of insecure endpoints connecting to their networks,” said Mark Strassman, CEO of Malwarebytes.
“We designed our mobile security solution for organizations that don’t have an army of security analysts to still make sure that any mobile devices that connect to their networks are secure and that digital learning for students is supported and productivity is supported,” Strassman continued.
