NHL All-Star Game Festivities To Feature New Pitch ‘n Puck Golf Skills Challenge

Talk about growing the game.

Two weeks ago we learned that the NFL added a long-hitting contest to its Pro Bowl series of events.

Now, the NHL is incorporating the game of golf into its All-Star weekend festivities. Which might be natural considering how many NHL players golf in their spare time.

The 2023 NHL All-Star Skills, taking place on February 3 in Sunrise, Florida, will feature three new events: Discover NHL Tendy Tandem, Enterprise NHL Splash Shot, and Chipotle NHL Pitch ‘n Puck.

According to the NHL website, the NHL Pitch ‘n Puck “will have players combine their hockey and golf skills on a par-4 golf hole with an island green. Six players will participate, the winner being the one who gets the puck/ball into the hole with the least number of shots using a combination of hockey and golf shots. If there is a tie, the longest drive determines the winner.

NHL Skills will be on ESPN at 7 pm on Friday, February 3. The league has not announced who will participate.

The NFL Pro Bowl activities are spread over two days, Thursday February 2 and Sunday February 5, in Las Vegas.
