Program connects Irving households to affordable internet service

Affordable Internet service is available to Irving residents through the Affordable Connectivity Program.

The Federal Communications Commission initiative offers homeowners and renters up to a $30 monthly discount and a one-time discount of up to $100 for a laptop or other device purchased from participating vendors.

Only one monthly service discount and one device discount per household is allowed.

To receive the connected device discount, consumers must enroll in the program with a participating carrier that offers connected devices. Not all Internet companies offer device discounts. The Internet company will provide the discount to the consumer.

At least one household member must meet the eligibility criteria.

Program applications are accepted online or can be downloaded and mailed in. For more information, call 877-384-2575 or visit ACPBenefit.org.
