Samsung ships its latest rugged Android devices to the US. Galaxy Xcover6 Pro and Galaxy Tab Active4 Pro are now available for sale with 5G connectivity and MIL-STD-810H compliance for extreme environments.
Samsung Galaxy Xcover 6 Pro
Samsung Galaxy Xcover 6 Pro was announced at the end of June. It features a 6.6-inch IPS LCD panel with FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate support. The display, protected by Gorilla Glass Victus+, is also designed to be operated with wet hands or gloves. The equipment has an IP68 water and dust protection class.
The Xcover 6 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 778G chipset, 6GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage via microSD. There is removable 4050mAh battery and supports 15W charging or pogo charging on a supported cradle.
The phone features a programmable push-to-talk button, a headphone jack, an amplified speakerphone and Samsung DeX support. In the camera department, there’s a 50MP f/1.8 main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. There is a 13MP selfie camera on the front, and the Xcover 6 Pro will run Android 12 out of the box.
Tab Samsung Galaxy Active4 Pro
Earlier this month, the Galaxy Tab Active4 Pro was announced with a 10.1-inch TFT LCD screen protected by Gorilla Glass 5. This rugged tablet comes with an S Pen and a protective case. Like the Xcover6 Pro, this device also meets the MIL-STD-810H standard to withstand altitude, humidity, water immersion, salt spray, dust, vibration and drops up to 1 meter.
The Tab Active4 Pro, also powered by the Snapdragon 788G processor, uses either 4GB RAM and 64GB storage or 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. The tablet has a talk button, volume up, and can also be used with wet hands or gloves.
Both devices can also be used as NFC-enabled POS systems on the Samsung Knox platform for POS. Knox Capture lets you use any device to scan barcodes and track inventory.

The Samsung Galaxy Xcover 6 Pro will be available starting October 20 through carriers in the US, and will later be offered through Samsung.com, Samsung Business, Amazon Business, and IT channel partners. Pricing information is yet to be confirmed by Samsung.
On the other hand, the Galaxy Tab Active4 Pro is now available from Samsung Business, Amazon Business, and Samsung’s IT channel partners for a starting price of $649.
