Rodney Terry has done extremely well as interim head coach going 9-2 thus far. Marcus Carr leads the charge for the Longhorns, averaging over 17 points per game.
This Texas team has responded to adversity both on and off the field this season, but it has a monumental challenge ahead of it.
Texas’ remaining schedule is among the toughest in the nation. Eight of their last 11 games have come against teams currently ranked in the AP Top 25 poll.
There is no doubt that the Longhorns will be battle tested entering the NCAA Tournament. The upcoming slate gives Texas a chance to prepare for a deep run in March.
