Stacy Lewis has more than a stacked talent pool on her side ahead of next year’s Solheim Cup.
On Thursday, Lewis announced her continued partnership with KPMG, utilizing data and analysis from KPMG Performance Insights to help her decide her captain selections, matchups and more.
“As Team USA captain, I expressed a desire to use data and analytics to provide me with greater intelligence and insights to determine captain selections and pairings, and KPMG stepped up to the plate,” said Lewis, who has been a KPMG brand ambassador for more than a decade. “I think using KPMG Performance Insights to inform our picks and matchups will make a difference for us – data and analytics is something men have been using in team competition for years.”
Lewis will use the software before and during next year’s Solheim Cup, which will take place at Finca Cortesin in Andalucia, Spain, from September 22-24, 2023. KPMG provides key information on shots gained, proximity averages and indexing of shots. performance that has been used by players on the LPGA Tour for over a year. This data helps players diagnose and improve their game.
On Lewis’s part, this insight will provide a clear picture of past and current performance in various aspects of the game, including driving, iron play, putting and more, helping her make the best decisions possible.
