- Smoky, guitar-like disco house from Mexico.
- Guitars figure prominently in some of the most prominent electronic music to come out of Mexico in recent years. Rebolledo, Zombies In Miami, Andre VII: all are proponents of a dark disco sound that characterized many of the releases on Hippie Dance, Rebolledo, and Superpitcher’s label (inactive since 2020), and some of the earlier sets played from the art car Mayan Warrior. at Burning Man (also curated by Rebolledo since 2014). Without Internet, a new EP from Mexican artist Globemaster, continues this tradition. The title track is the strongest here, all steaming riffs, cosmic synths, and propulsive mid-tempo grooves in the Correspondant mold, and surely the antidote to any withering dance floor.
